Welcome to TurboRAN@AI4Networks Lab

TurboRAN is a state of the art testbed for enabling unprecedented experimental research on multi-band, multi-tier artificial intelligence enabled wireless networks of future.

TurboRAN Layout

TurboRAN Layout

TurboRAN is made up of 3 tiers of cells connected to an open and commercial EPC via fiberoptic links. The EPCs are connected through multi-gigabit routing system to a central Hadoop cluster for high-speed data transmission and processing.
TurboRAN Hardware

TurboRAN Hardware

TurboRAN combines state-of-the-art hardware from a variety of vendors to construct customized network entities including mmWave cells, mobile cell nodes, and weatherproof outdoor nodes to enable experiments for future mobile cellular networks.
TurboRAN Software

TurboRAN Software

TurboRAN network entities use a combination of commercial LTE protocol stacks to enable testing of state-of-the-art SON solutions, and open source LTE protocol stacks to enable development of solutions for future cellular networks.

Feedback

Industry and academic community, please input the type of data that need to be made available for advance research on P-SON and CDSA and other research themes enabled by TurboRAN. Any useful insights gained by this feedback collected through this channel will be then incorporated in implementation of TurboRAN. This effort will ensure that TurboRAN user interface allows easy access to the data needed by wider community, and not just the data envisioned by the project team. Please give your feedback here.
